# Connect Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads)

Connecting Meta takes about a minute: an OAuth sign-in with your Facebook account, then selecting which ad accounts to sync. Peachblue reads ads data only; it never creates, edits, or pauses anything in your account.

## Connect

1. In Peachblue, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Connect next to Meta.
2. A Facebook window opens. Sign in and approve the requested permissions (read access to your ads and pages).
3. Back in Peachblue, pick the ad accounts to sync and confirm.

The connection uses a token issued by Meta to Peachblue, stored encrypted. You can disconnect at any time from the same screen, which removes the token. See [data access and deletion](/docs/data-access-and-deletion).

## What syncs

- Daily performance rows per ad: spend, impressions, clicks, results, and revenue where available, broken down by placement, device, and country
- Demographics: performance by age and gender
- Headline and body copy variants with per-variant performance
- Campaign and ad set names for context
- Creative assets: Peachblue mirrors your ad images and videos to its own storage during sync, because Meta's CDN links expire. This is what makes durable [creative analysis](/docs/creative-analysis) and cross-ad creative grouping possible.

## Sync schedule

The initial connection triggers a backfill of your recent history. After that, a daily automatic sync keeps data current, and you can trigger a manual sync from the Data Hub whenever you want. Sync history, per-account status, and any errors are visible in Settings under the connection's details.

## Notes

- The same creative running in multiple ads is recognized and grouped automatically, so your By Creative view aggregates performance across every ad that used it.
- If an ad account is shared across businesses, connect it from the profile that has at least ads_read access to it.
