Motion moved upmarket. Your alternatives, honestly.
Motion's entry price tripled to $750/mo in 2026. Honest alternatives at every spend level, from solo advertisers to agencies, with verified pricing.
Motion tripled its entry price in 2026. Starter now runs $750 per month for accounts up to $50k in monthly ad spend, Pro is $1,050, and the Growth tier above them is custom. If you liked Motion at its old $250 entry point, that product no longer exists, and a lot of teams are running the numbers on what else is out there.
Disclosure up front: I am the founder of Peachblue, one of the tools below. I have tried to be straight about who each tool genuinely fits, including when that is not us. Every price here was verified against live pricing pages on August 12, 2026, which matters more than usual because most Motion comparison articles still cite the old $250 price.
What actually changed at Motion
Motion repositioned upmarket during 2026: the entry tier went from $250 to $750, the Pro tier got a public $1,050 price, and the positioning shifted to "the AI brain for marketing," with a dedicated AI workspace per account. A limited free plan exists as an entry point. The platform list is unchanged: Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, with Northbeam and GA4 attribution integrations. Still no Google Ads, still no Amazon.
None of that is a criticism. It is a strategy, and it tells you exactly who Motion wants: teams on paid social who want the full Motion ecosystem attached to their software. The question is whether that is you.
Who should actually stay on Motion
Two honest reasons to stay or sign up anyway:
- The ecosystem. Motion's education layer, the Thumbstop newsletter, the summits, the courses, the live streams, is the best in the category, and nobody on this list matches it. Worth knowing: most of it is free to everyone, whether or not you pay for the software.
- Attribution integrations. If Northbeam or GA4 attribution inside your creative analytics tool is a hard requirement, Motion has it and most alternatives do not.
If neither of those describes your situation, here is the field.

Peachblue: the full creative intelligence stack
Peachblue connects to Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Amazon DSP, syncs every creative, and runs each one through AI analysis across 31 dimensions, with a written expert analysis and copy suggestions per creative. A composite score ranks everything from Top Performer to Underperformer, and perceptual fingerprinting recognizes the same creative across ads and platforms.
Scoring is the floor. The Intelligence layer finds the patterns behind your winners, which hooks, tones, and formats keep beating your account, and clusters creatives into archetypes, so "what should we make next" is answered from your own data. Then three things Motion does not offer at any tier:
- Your ad data inside Claude. Agent Peach answers questions about your accounts in plain language, and the MCP server puts the same 19 tools into Claude, so your cross-platform performance data works inside the AI you already use.
- Brand Intel. Reddit monitoring for your brand, competitors, and topics, with sentiment and an editorial brief you can pull creative angles from. Nobody else in creative analytics does this.
- Google Ads and Amazon DSP coverage. Including DSP flight pacing and client reporting with agency margin, which is a category Motion does not enter.
The range runs from $79 self-serve through Scale at $499, Power at $799 with client-ready reports, and the $1,499 Agency tier with multi-client workspaces and per-client DSP reporting. Full matrix on pricing.
What Motion has that we do not: the ecosystem, and attribution integrations. If those are your priorities, stay.
Choose Peachblue if you want to know which of your creatives work, why, and what to make next; your platforms go beyond paid social; or you want your ad data in Claude. From $79 per month with a 7-day trial on a self-serve plan.
Atria: research plus generation for Meta and TikTok
Atria combines creative research, analytics, AI generation, and its Raya and Radar agents. Core is $129 per month billed annually (about $161 monthly). Two things to check before committing: the platform covers Meta and TikTok only, and the mid tier repriced sharply in 2026, with Plus now at $479 per month and a Business tier at $959, though every Atria plan now includes MCP access. Also note AI credits do not roll over month to month.
Choose Atria if you run Meta and TikTok only and want research, generation, and analytics in one tool at a lower entry point than Motion.
rule1: the agent-first newcomer
rule1 is the youngest tool here and the most aggressive on price: around €149 per month with frame-by-frame video analysis, custom performance rules, and weekly creative briefs, targeted at Meta-centric teams. It also sells its MCP server as a €20 per month add-on, which serves its analysis outputs. A genuinely interesting product to watch; also genuinely early, with a narrower platform and feature surface than the incumbents.
Choose rule1 if you are Meta-first, want agentic analysis cheap, and are comfortable with a young product.
Segwise: deep tagging for the app world
Segwise does serious multimodal creative tagging mapped to performance, with integrations across Meta, Google, TikTok, and the mobile app networks and MMPs. Growth is $499 per month with startup pricing at $250, and Pro runs $1,699. Its DNA is mobile gaming and subscription apps, and it is strongest there.
Choose Segwise if you market a mobile app or game; its network and MMP integrations are built for exactly that.
Foreplay: if what you actually wanted was research
Some Motion customers mostly used the inspiration and research side. If that is you, Foreplay is the strongest swipe-file and ad research tool in the category, from $49 per month billed annually, with its Lens creative analytics now included from the Basic tier. Peachblue's competitor ads comparison is shipping soon; today, Foreplay covers research best and pairs well with a performance tool.
Choose Foreplay if research and briefs are the job, and analytics depth is secondary.
How to decide in five minutes
- You want the deepest analysis of your own ads across the most platforms: Peachblue, from $79 to a $1,499 agency tier.
- You want Motion's ecosystem attached to your vendor: stay on Motion; the content layer is genuinely the best, and much of it is free anyway.
- You need attribution integrations inside the tool: Motion.
- Meta and TikTok only, want generation built in: Atria.
- Mobile app or game: Segwise.
- Cheap agentic analysis, Meta-first, early-adopter tolerance: rule1.
- Research and swipe files over analytics: Foreplay.
Whatever you pick, migrate your naming conventions and your winning-ad archive first. Tools are replaceable; institutional memory is not. And whichever tool you land on, verify its pricing on the live page, not on a comparison article, this year has made most of them stale.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Motion cost now?
As of August 2026, Motion's Starter tier is $750 per month for accounts up to $50k in monthly ad spend, Pro is $1,050 per month, and the Growth tier above that is custom-priced. A limited free plan exists. Most comparison articles still cite the old $250 entry price, which was retired during 2026.
What is the best Motion alternative for creative analytics?
Peachblue is the strongest like-for-like alternative for analyzing your own ads: AI analysis across 31 creative dimensions, pattern detection, and coverage of Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Amazon DSP, from $79 per month. Atria fits Meta-and-TikTok-only teams who also want AI generation, and rule1 is a cheap agent-first newcomer for Meta-centric accounts.
Does any Motion alternative match its community and courses?
No. Motion's education ecosystem, including the Thumbstop newsletter, summits, and courses, is the best in the category. Most of it is free to everyone regardless of whether you pay for the software, so you can keep the content and choose your analytics tool separately.
Which Motion alternatives cover Google Ads or Amazon?
Motion covers neither. Peachblue syncs Google Ads (Search, Display, Video) and Amazon DSP alongside Meta and TikTok. Segwise covers Google plus the mobile app networks, and rule1 covers Google for Meta-centric teams. If Google or Amazon is a meaningful share of your spend, that gap decides the comparison.
